First Flush Dragon Well 头春龙井
One of China’s best known green teas is produced some 1200 years ago. The tea leaves are first flush leaves that have been harvested just before Qing Ming Festival and then subjected to a laborious process of drying. The resulting flat and smooth leaves yield a pale jade liquor that is refreshingly smooth, sweet and delicate, with a hint of sweet chestnuts. The tea is reputed to revive the body, aid digestion and lower blood pressure.
